HTC officially announced on June 24th. Most bloggers who got to try the phone seem impressed(not the final build).

HTC Hero runs Google Andriod with the new HTC Touch interface. From the few demo videos that I have seen, I can safely saw that HTC Hero along with the Palm Pre is the best competition for the iPhone so far.

Hero has good specs, except for the Qualcomm® MSM7200A™, 528 MHz, which is a letdown when compared to other recently launched smart phones.

The local data like contacts are integrated information from various social networking sites like Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, and Twitter. It even has an inbuilt twitter client. Twitterers don’t you love it already?

The best part however is the flash support. HTC claims that Hero is the first android device to support flash. Adobe seems to have endorsed the claim, watch the demo by Adobe about how flash works on the HTC Hero. Impressive eh!

Oh, I almost forgot, it has teflon coating too. SO you needn’t worry about scratches for a really loooong time.
