Nokia Messaging, push email for your S60 phones.

Submitted by Devakishor Soraisam on Wednesday, 4 March 2009No Comment

Nokia Messaging is a brilliant application for accessing your personal email on your Symbian 60 phones. You can set up upto 10 email accounts. It supports most of the popular Email Service Providers. As you can see in the pic below, I have set up 3 of my personal email IDs. One gmail, one yahoo and another one hosted with Google Apps. Each email arrives in its own mailbox, and you can access all emails in one place. Setting up the email accounts was very easy, you can do it from your phone or your computer.

Nokia Email 1

Nokia Email website are:

  • Improved application performance, including rapid access to the Inbox
  • Support for up to 10 email addresses
  • Better support for subfolders in IMAP email accounts
  • Flagged messages automatically become starred messages in Gmail
  • Improved battery life
  • More intuitive inbox navigation
  • Support for more Nokia S60 phones
  • Support for Google Apps hosted email addresses
  • Mail sent from any email address on your phone now syncs to the server.

Nokia Inbox

This is how the inbox looks, much better than the default email client of the e61i. Reading emails is a lot more easier compared the default one. It supports html which wasn’t the case with the default one.

Nokia Inbox2

We can choose how the emails are displayed in the inbox. They can be grouped depending on the subject, date, sender, etc, as seen in the pic.

Nokia Email Folders.

It supports subfolders.

Compose.

And composing an email couldn’t get any easier. Managing attachments is so very easy.

As of now it is available for free trial, and the only charges incurred are those of data transfer depending on your wireless data plan. Nokia has plans to charge for this service in the future. So, if you have access to wireless internet on your phone, this application is a must.

Dowload the application from here.

Do let me know your experience with this app.
