Certificate Error while installing an Application.
Most Symbian phone owners must have face this “Certifate Error” prompt while trying to install an application.
This error prompt occurs because of 2 main reasons.
1. You are installing unsigned software, in which case you need to get the SIS file signed. You may be able to do this from Symbian Signed, if that doesn’t help try, contacting the application developer.
2. You are installing software that is self-signed by the developer. In this case do the following.
On you phone, go to : Menu -> Tools -> App Manager > Options > Settings > Software installation – change it to “All”. You will then be able to install applications that have been self-signed by the developer.
You should be able to install the application after taking the above steps. If you still face some problem, leave a comment or post your error message on The Mobile Freak Forum.
