It’s official now, Verizon Wireless goes with LG Versa.
Verizon Wireless and LG have officially announced the LG VX9600. Also known as LG Versa, it will be available starting March 1st. Versa is a touch screen phone and comes with many different attachment with which you can customize. The touch screen is 3 inchs, and comes with an attachable QWERTY(pic above) keyboard as well for easier texting.
Other features:
- HTML Web browser that supports Flash (!) and RSS feeds.
- Open three browser windows at one time.
- Built-in accelerometer.
- The QWERTY keyboard attachment has a small monochrome external OLED screen on the back.
- Support for Verizon’s V Cast Music with Rhapsody, V Cast Video, Visual Voice Mail, GPS with VZ Navigator.
- 2.0-megapixel camera with face detection and built-in image editor,
- MicroSD card slot with up to 16GB support.
- USB mass storage mode.
- Bluetooth with stereo.
- Threaded messaging.
- Drawing pad, and
- EV-DO Rev. A.
You can eve use the Versa as a modem for your laptop for a monthly $59.99 Mobile Broadband Connect access fee. Usage is limited to 5GB a month.
There are rumours that more attachments will be offered. External speaker attachment for music, and a game pad controller for games, et al. The Versa will be available online and in stores on March 1st for $199.99 after a two-year agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate.
